Hypnosis Explained - (Defining Hypnosis) In this modern world people have mistaken the concept of hypnosis. Strangely the television hasn't helped this belief. Many think that hypnosis is meant for humour on the cabaret stage and has little transition into our daily life. I was explaining to my young teenage children that I remember seeing live pictures of men walking on the moon back in the 1960's. Amazingly I couldn't explain fully why further visits haven't been made. But what did come to mind, and I'm sure I've said it before myself... Why visit a distant planet when we can't cure the common cold; or have answers to why our devilish ego makes us do foolish things. You too can use the power of conversational hypnosis to get things done your way. You can get to learn these powerful techniques at Underground Hypnosis and achieve your goals in life with ease. Hypnosis works because it uses a mechanism already in place. People already think, feel, and act in response to hypnosis everyday, either intentionally or unintentionally.
Bizarre as it may seem we dip in and out of hypnotic states each day. Understanding this and exploring its potential allows us to put flying to the moon on hold for a few decades. Hypnosis has gained in popularity over time. More and more people have become interested in the whole concept behind this subject and how it works. This literally blew my mind, though now it seems obvious. A hypnotist isn't sending out magical brain-waves to put other people into trance. They only help us find that state within ourselves. We are the ones that are creating the bodily sensations and thoughts. That's why the more you trance you experience the better you get at it.
Hypnosis is effective to make a person capable of controlling his mind and overcome several problems related to the mind. Hypnosis will help to interact with the unconscious mind of a person. Most people think of hypnosis as a way of controlling someone and getting them to do things they usually would not do. Dictionary describes hypnosis as a sleep-like state or to be in a state that resembles sleep. But most hypnotist disagree with the statement that hypnosis has anything with the sleep rather they believe that it is heightened state of acute awareness. Hypnosis then, using a Hypnotists definition, is an altered state of consciousness... and in one way or another we have all experienced a light version of it - daydreaming being a good example. Some of the Hypnotists also believe it can direct their subject's focus mind and communicating with the subject's subconscious mind. The goal it to distract the conscious mind and avoid the resistance often given by the conscious mind. Perhaps the greatest of all hypnosis secrets is the fact that it really is not that hard to learn. So many people are intrigued behind the subject and wish they knew how to hypnotize someone. Hypnotizing others is much easier than most people think. Confidence is the critical factor for your hypnosis success. If you don't have confidence, then you will probably fail. But if you start your hypnosis practice with confidence then you will have positive attitude and succeed in this way. This literally blew my mind, though now it seems obvious. A hypnotist isn't sending out magical brain-waves to put other people into trance. They only help us find that state within ourselves. We are the ones that are creating the bodily sensations and thoughts. That's why the more you trance you experience the better you get at it.
The most powerful way to hypnotize someone is through what is called covert hypnosis, which is also known as conversational hypnosis or Ericksonian hypnosis. With this method you can literally walk up to a complete stranger, hold a conversation with them and induce them into a trance. Through hypnosis, you technically can influence the behaviour of others and lead them in a particular direction. You can do this in a way that they would normally resist. In general, it is a tool that increases suggestibility. People may have heard of the 'sugar pill' illusion. This is where they are given a medication to solve a temporary illness; and claim to feel the medication taking effect. When in reality it was only a sugar pill, with no medicinal composition at all. Meaning of course... it is all in the mind. Hypnosis can help you alter your subconscious to achieve and overcome your weight loss goals and obstacles. There are specific hypnosis techniques that were developed to help you stop smoking. You can learn to get the best performance from your body by using your mind.
Such exploration of the power of the mind is both intriguing and fascinating. The best way to explore this subject further is to visit our Hypnotic Underworld and develop these skills yourself. Andy Bolton from the Underworld of Hypnosis

Do you think this has anything to do with the start of the menopause?
I am approaching 47 years old. I am healthy and quite fit. My periods are a normal 25-28 day cycle and last approximately 3 days and are always light. Last november I went through a very bad time with sleeping. Suddenly I was unable to sleep at all at night or even by day. Not even for a short time. After christmas I was in such a state emotionally and physically tired, my GP put me on anti depressants to reduce my anxiety and prescribed Temazepam to help me sleep. I wasn't happy about being on anti depressants because I wasn't depressed but he felt he had to slow my body down because my head was going at 90mph and he said eventually I would 'crash'. I tried every kind of remedy to help with my sleep problem. I saw a hypnotist for 7 sessions. Costly and didn't help at all. I then had an oppertunity to attend The Lightning Process, a 3 day intensive course that helps you to re- program your brain to 'doing' positive. After 2 days of the course finishing, I began to sleep again and I also began an extreme fitness programme called P90X. It's an American fitness workout with 12 dvd's. This all helped to make me feel fitter and stronger in body and mind and I have been sleeping without any sleeping tablets or anti depressants for 4 months. I was able to stop both with few side affects within 2 weeks. Life has been going along without any stresses or change since then but last week, I couldn't sleep at all. I tried not to panic and just remember we all have bad nights. The next night, I couldn't sleep again and alarm bells started to ring because this is how it started before 'out of the blue'. I have now gone 4 nights without being able to sleep and I weakened on the 3rd night and took Temazepam. I just wondered if maybe this could be the start of the menopause. I have no other explanation of what can be causing me this. Did anyone else experience this? My GP said I am too young to start the menopause but I know many women who were younger than I am who started it. I have no other symptoms to suggest it can be menopause, no mood swings, still have good sexdrive. I was so certain my positive attitude and daily exercise was helping me but now I don't know what to think is happening to me. Thank you all who have answered me with feasibe answes. I have booked an appointment to see my GP again and will ask if its possible to have my hormone levels tested to rule out wondering if its the start of the menopause. I have also started taking Temazepam again in the hope it kick starts me back to sleeping because I couldn't go another night without sleeping. Trying to stay positive and not go into passive mode!

Am I a good looking guy?
I have really low self esteem when it comes to my looks, mostly because of my Inverted Triangular face and un-style-able hair. I'm sure you might click on by my username that I'm a Street Magician and Street Hypnotist and low self-esteem really knocks my confidence, not because I'm looking to date my spectators but because the character I play when performing is very charming and flirty. so I'm basically here for make or break, please be honest :) Maybe this is just some guy stage I'm going through at 17 - like when guys worry about their >><< which I outgrew long ago... Thanks for your replies in advance :) http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx323/danieljoseph/me.jpg If a picture isn't enough here's a video of me on YouTube performing magic at my local college: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_chTxVEWds

Is it possible to hypnotise someone into falling in love?
I was at this party two weeks ago and they had a hypnotist there. I got volunteered to go up and the guy hypnotised me. I don't really remember all of what happened, but I know he got me to say some stupid stuff like what normally happens with these things but it was all in good fun so I'm not too worried about that. The problem is that since I went to the party I have started having these kind of inappropriate thoughts about my little sister. So what I need to know is whether it is possible for a hypnotist to do this, and if he did can I sue him still even though I choose to take part in his act? But I never looked at her that way before, so it must be connected to when I was hypnotised?

What are the withdrawal symptoms like giving up Y/A? Will I be able to spell again and write in proper sentences? It is my only addiction so is there a substitute. Please don't say facebook or anything like that. I am in serious need of help. Would a counsellor be able to help, or a hypnotist? Lincoln6 Done that for years and with the children now adults suffering their own offspring.
