why do women think they are superior to men when they are given equal rights?
i have only recently realized this. when women did not have any rights, they behaved nicely. but now many women (not all of them) think that they are superior to men because they now have equal rights. just go around asking any women almost all of them will say this.
do they not know that if men as a whole decided that women have enjoyed power and rights enough and decides to take away all the women's rights. what exactly are women going to do about it. men could easily do that. they have the physical and mental advantage to do that. so why are so many women believing in this idea that somehow women are superior, because they now have equal rights.
once Socrates said - make women equal to man. and women will be superior.
but that is clearly philosophy. its not going to work in reality is it.

What does this mean for the EU...?
Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Socrates has resigned after parliament rejected an austerity budget.
The defeat is likely to trigger a bailout similar to the rescue packages Greece and the Republic of Ireland had to accept last year.
All five opposition parties voted against the austerity measures, which included spending cuts and tax rises.
Mr Socrates had earlier said he would no longer be able to run the country if the budget was not adopted.
Elections are likely to take place in a few months' time.
Mr Socrates, from the centre-left Socialist Party, presented his resignation to President Anibal Cavaco Silva two hours after the vote in parliament.

Wizard society in Harry potter backwards?
Well after finishing the series, one thing didn't ring true to me the entire way through, Wizards thinking themselves superior to "muggle" civilisation, even the more moderate ones and hermione the mudblood, rejecting evolved ideas even the mundane, using quills instead of biros? honestly she should know better. Dark wizards, Dumbledore the whole lot of them seem to just stay in this insular little wizarding world, surely they must admit they are inferior to muggles with vast impressive metropolises with extensive underground metros running all night, the skyscraper the intel core microchip (they dont even bother adopting laptops and computers at hogwarts so on this just seems like arrogant refusal to move forward and rejection of muggle civilisations achievements that are clearly superior) space flight and exploration, great thinkers newton, einstein, socrates, Cicero and splitting the atom so on I could literally name many more. They dont seem to care about such major issues that are present in their world as well as the muggles, they dont even bother to learn physics and chemistry the naive assholes, whats learning charms going to do to the wider issues facing hummanity in the potter universe??? or do they just block it out and mess around with wands, it really ruined it for me
Edit: well Kayla you have entirely missed my point, Im not saying I am surprised they are learning wizarding skills, just that it is possibly ill advised for an entire society/civilisation to not learn about the elements or the science of the universe AT ALL. It could be useful them too you know you ass! the point I was trying to make is why shouldn't they except muggle technological superiority and its many achievements of ingenuity and invention of things that have greatly impacted peoples day to day lives, the ball point pen, computers as I mentioned even they need to browse shops for gowns, research things, word process document things so onnn, heck they dont even have tv's which anyone could enjoy, at times they seem more like Amish people than wizards stagnating out of arrogance and isolation
even Voldemort should be humbled by the crew of apollo 11,
and for everyone saying its just a story, have you never studied literature? If you have then you will know that you discuss, analyse, contextualise them and to give a deeper understanding of what the author is ultimately trying to convey. As well as this you are ultimately expressing ones opinion on the quality of the writing style the universe they have constructed, is it seamless does it stand true, or does it slip up is it unable to convince you of the illusion it is trying to as story? These things are discussions people should have so shut up with that puerile ignorant comeback to such discussions, I am merely voicing my dismay and disbelief at aspects of the potter universe I couldnt ignore throughout

What, according to you, contributes to your well being?
Winning a cricket match...especially the World Cup semi-final...makes me giddy!!!
One of the comments made in the Measuring National Well-Being Debate states that happiness involves: ?Having access to open, green space within walking distance of my home.?
Another suggests: ?Access to low-cost facilities that enrich life - e.g. libraries, parks, swimming pools.?
A third again hints at escape from the pressures of life and work in modern British cities: ?Opportunity to laugh, ability to trust, opportunities to recharge my batteries and restore my mental health.?
However some respondents to the ONS consultation have also taken it upon themselves to consider what constitutes the good life, a problem that has occupied philosophers since the days of Socrates.
One said: ?Happiness is a misnomer. It?s much better to be content than happy. Contentment is constant. Happiness is an emotional flick.?
Another claimed: ?Well-being is more than happiness, it's having the freedom to do things.?
Several claimed that satisfaction is dependent on physical health, saying: ?As long as you have your health nothing else matters.?
But more hard-nosed types insisted: ?Unless you have money you don't really have a choice.?
Some hinted that Britain must become more just before it can feel good about itself, claiming that ?having a fairer society would improve people's well-being? and that people should become ?less self-centred?.
But others had more practical and down-to-earth suggestions as to how to improve the nation?s happiness, such as tackling fuel poverty among pensioners.
One simply stated: ?The smell of opening a jar of coffee would certainly contribute to my well-being.?
