Famous Charles Dickens Quotes

A loving heart is the truest wisdom.

A merry Christmas to everybody! A happy New Year to all the world!

Whatever I have tried to do in life, I have tried with all my heart to do it well; whatever I have devoted myself to, I have devoted myself completely; in great aims and in small I have always thoroughly been in earnest.

I feel an earnest and humble desire, and shall till I die, to increase the stock of harmless cheerfulness.

Do all the good you can, and make as little fuss about it as possible.

Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childhood days, recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth, and transport the traveler back to his own fireside and quiet home!

I do come home at Christmas. We all do, or we all should. We all come home, or ought to come home, for a short holiday - the longer, the better - from the great boarding school where we are forever working at our arithmetical slates, to take, and give a rest.

I have always thought of Christmas as a good time; a kind, forgiving, generous, pleasant time; a time when men and women seem to open their hearts freely, and so I say, God bless Christmas!

It was always said of him, that he knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed the knowledge. May that be truly said of us, and all of us! And so, as Tiny Tim observed, God Bless Us, Every One!

Time was with most of us, when Christmas Day, encircling all our limited world like a magic ring, left nothing out for us to miss or seek; bound together all our home enjoyments, affections, and hopes; grouped everything and everyone round the Christmas fire, and make the little picture shining in our bright young eyes, complete.

But I am sure that I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round...as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely.

It is a melancholy truth that even great men have their poor relations.

A day wasted on others is not wasted on one's self.

Law is an ass, an idiot.

An idea, like a ghost, must be spoken to a little before it will explain itself.

Electric communication will never be a substitute for the face of someone who with their soul encourages another person to be brave and true.

Have a heart that never hardens, and a temper that never tires, and a touch that never hurts.

I am sure that I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round...as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely.

I never could have done what I have done without the habits of punctuality, order, and diligence, without the determination to concentrate myself on one subject at a time.

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all year.

Everything You Want Appears -- Seemingly Out of Thin Air

There is a science that deals with manifesting desires. Many
people regard it as mystical or esoteric, but it's actually a
science like physics or algebra.

There are certain immutable laws that govern the process of
materializing wishes seemingly out of thin air, and once these
laws are complied with, anyone can make their dreams a reality
-- with absolute certainty.

BEHIND THE WHEEL | 2012 CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1; Muscles on Its Muscles, but Nua...

27 May 2012 at 12:00am  ALTON, Va. WHEN I first heard rumors that Chevrolet was going to produce the 2012 Camaro ZL1, I thought, “Fine, G.M. is building a Camaro with a supercharger and more horsepower. Big deal.” Now I’ve driven it and I know better: defining the ZL1 solely by its extra power is similar to saying that Dennis Rodman is famous just for...

Do my teachers really hate me?
Hi, so here is the issue: I had always been a good students, and have a lot of reputation about good grades. I have no problems dealing with IB and school in general. I'm always on time, polite and helpful during class. I know all it takes to score full points in most of the subjects. But here is the problems, my teachers seems to be hating me. They seems to be demotivating me, putting me down. Like mentioned already, I'm in a way famous for my grades and helpfulness towards younger and older students. They would consult me for help now and then. But the majority of y teachers don't do that. They tend to pick random students as examples during class, trying to make it seems like they are better than me, yet doing it directly at me, with those mean smiles. They would never let me work with girls on projects for anything, and always forced me to work with the same person. I and the girls are of course pissed off as the result. They would try to exclude me from the lesson, pretending as if i'm not there at all. What do you think are there reasons for doing so. Remember this had no effect on my grades, though it does gets me angry. could it be that they are judging me for who i am outside of class? could it be that they think that i am like my brother, who graduated 2 years ago, with 45 points on his diploma. My brother was a very arrogant and what i would call a bad influence in terms of personality. But I'm not like him, i can tell you that. please help xx
