Today's Story on THE LOVE OF WISDOM: Various studies have shown that if you enjoy your work and work for joy, it has a positive effect on your health and aging. That of course is following a medical survey, but within WISDOM it is sensible to be aware that too much stress for example can cause health problems. So here we have the CAUSE and EFFECT theory. If we have a career that gives us ill-health we should seriously consider the value of that position. In other words source out the reason for the stress and try and either eliminate it or come to terms with the problem and try and reduce its impact upon your health. Today's illustration is an excerpt from a book. It explains that following a serious incident with health we can remain positive or we can allow its implications to destroy what life we have left. 'A stitch in time saves nine, ' a proverb we can use to help us with our health. If we ever have warning signals that our job is too stressful. We need to reduce the stress or eliminate it. This is WISE. In Wisdom we need to see the beauty of this statement and act. We can see the CAUSE and need to act to save our health from deteriorating. This is not some new glaring piece of news you are hearing, but a timely reminder that WISDOM travels throughout every aspect of our life. If we know what is WISE then we ought to actively apply it. Adversity can strike us all, but the fight against it must be positive. POSITIVE ACTION DURING REHABILITATION Duni Chand was a business executive in his early fifties who suffered a sudden heart attack. His cardiac evaluation and long-term prognosis were excellent. Despite the assurance that he had only a minor, uncomplicated attack and was making an excellent recovery, he simply couldn't get over the mental shock of "having a heart attack." Neither psychotherapy nor physiotherapy helped him during his rehabilitation period. He was somehow convinced that he could no longer lead an active, productive life, and he gave up all efforts in this direction. He started suffering from depression and felt he was growing old rather fast. As a matter of fact, he soon began looking much older than his age, and asked for early retirement from his job. Then there was Shyman Aunder, about the same age and holding a comparable position, who suffered a rather similar heart attack. Although his long-term prognosis wasn't quite as good as Duni Chand's, he returned to work after two months and said, "I like my job better than ever before. It may seem surprising but it is true that I work fewer hours now but achieve more. I'm no longer rushing for the deadline; somehow I just seem to plan things better. I'm more productive, and I enjoy life. I find time to relax and look around; I have time to stand and stare. I never knew the world was so beautiful." Speaking of his wife, Shyman Sunder said appreciatively, "Earlier I never took time to see her lips enrich as she smiled, or her eyes brighten as we talked." (An extract from "Your Life Is In Your Hands." By Krishan Chopra M.D.) QUOTE: "We need quite time to examine our lives openly and honestly... Spending quiet time alone gives your mind an opportunity to renew itSelf and create order." (Susan L. Taylor, U.S. Journalist).

what's your favourite sit com?
Mine has to be Seinfeld.
I never get bored of watching them. its just so well written and there are so many great and funny characters.
I love the way the four main characters are so self absorbed and selfish, but very likeable at the same time.
If I had to chose a British one it would be Peep Show.
Whats yours?

Should I tell her that I like her?
Sorry this is so long but I desperately need some advice. I'm in my 30's and I've never had a girlfriend, I've never even come close. Women just aren't interested in me at all and will (literally once) run a mile if they suspect I like them. I'm pretty ugly and have no self confidence and if I'm honest I'm pretty boring. I don't really have any friends either, no one seems to like me and I just find holding a conversation virtually impossible sometimes.
Ok, that's the background. Last year I met a girl who I seem to have fallen for quite badly. She's been kinder and more friendly towards me than anyone I can ever remember, especially girls. No one ever texts me unless they absolutely have to, because of work etc but she has sent me quite a few texts just asking how I am, letting me know how she is etc. Then about a month ago she asked me if I would like to go to the cinema with her to see a certain romantic film that was out recently. I couldn't ever believe it was a date, I just thought she was being friendly and needed someone to go to the cinema with. I took her and it didn't go as badly as I throughout it would but nothing really happened, I just took her home and she thanked me for taking her.
I didn't hear from her for a couple of weeks and then she sent me another text just asking how things were and letting me know what she was up to etc, since then we have been texting each other quite a lot and talked on facebook a few times.
I know this probably happens all the time to most people but the point is no one has EVER, in my entire life behaved like this with me. I really, really like her but another problem is she is quite a bit younger than me. I just don't know what to do. I don't know if she is just being friendly. I feel like I would just be making a fool of myself if I was to say anything but I'm so fond of her, I don't want to miss a chance even if it might be a very small chance.
Sorry, this is probably a question that a kid at high school would ask but but I would be VERY grateful of any advice!
Thanks.

My boyfriend has become so aggressive but how do I handle this?
Me and my boyfriend have been together for less than 3 years now and overall I was very happy for 2 of those years particulary in the beginning when I found him charming, romantic and spontaneous. However the last 4-5 months there's been a complete change of pattern in his personality and demeanor in addition to having little self control he has been far more aggressive and violent towards me. He always says things like "I love you and couldn't live without you" or "I'd never hurt you" (bruisies on my arm says different) but its getting to a stage where I feel eventually my life could be in danger.
I have no idea what would happen if I ever left him but believe me that really would be treading on egg shell's and so I know one way or the other im trapped with little way out.

Why are Jews very unhelpful when it come to unravelling the myths surrounding them?
I think there are a catalogue of instances where I have presented them with the myth for review, and from start, they engaged in label-throwing and personal attacks, for even attempting to get an answer. They would rather abuse me than enter into a rational discussion about it. They refuse, and the refusal is made in form of an attack of me, this one person. They are uncooperative. There is another way things can be and it is not a bad way to be, I actually think it is better.
They place the burden on the asker.
If I ask: "Do Jews control western media?", they will say:
- throw labels
1. antisemite
2. propagandist
3. racist
4. pseudo-intellectual
5. idiot
6. nazi
- imposition the asker
4. where's your evidence
5. you are attacking the Jews
6. this is not a legitimate inquiry
(there is probably more, I have to search the depths and describe, not always easy)
- - -
There are very rare keen honest answerers. Most are:
1. biased toward supposing the worst of the asker and the best of themselves.
You are free to contradict me, I welcome it. I hope your position is well thought out.
=============
My Request if you would:
Required stuff:
? Explain your statements intelligibly.
? Make solid arguments for a position on the matter.
Extra stuff:
? Referenced material
? Original thought
Forbidden stuff:
? Ad-hominem, name-calling, insults
? unexplained statements or un-argued positions, inexplicitness, ambiguity
__________
About the asker to allay prejudgement:
? Naturalism, I hold.
? I am against religions that deny the order of nature, that deny they have no evidence, that seek to impose an authoritarian state religion, that denys its members the opportunity to understand the naturalistic world-wiew beforehand to their initiation(they must convince knowledgeable naturalists to be regarded as safe and valid), and more than I have thought of here.
? Logic, Empiricism and Science are important tools in understanding the world.
? Morality is about developing better patterns of human organisation, a good system of behaviour will end up benefiting everyone.
? I have found 'Pragma-Dialectics' similar to my own style of debate, it is a method of resolving differences of opinion. I am still learning that developed system, but I am familiar with it by analogy with my similar style of debate.
? I prefer intelligent expression over spite.
? My views are open to revision and refinement, and any view I do hold is functional.
I am open to correction, persuasion, andpossibilityy; I may seem fixed but I am really fluid in my ideas and actions, motives and intentions.
I value logic, beauty and openness.
_______________
If anything said is inaccurate, show me and I will self-correct for it.
Actually, they were biased from the start. I did not cause their bias, it was there since when I started asking, so it can't be me.
I did not create the behaviour of others as it was there from the start of my encounters with these Jews.
I am lambasted simply for contradicting the Jewish. Or framing my question in a manner contradictory of the Jewish. But most of those question I have made the plea that I seek rational discussion.
When I ask my question, I seek in-depth answers. More than yes or no, but a look into it, examining the suggestion and finding and pointing out the illogic of it. I seek dispassionate answers, that are not involved, but can answer in cool cold reason, and in a lukewarm kindness toward myself. And that do not become or are not biased against me or my question, nor that are biased on me for my history of similar questions.
What I say "Jews very unhelpful", I mean in the same manner as "Humans are black" "Humans are white", it say "there is a case of humans who are black, but being black is not essential to being human".
"there is a case of Jews who are very unhelpful, but being very unhelpful is not essential to being Jewish".
In general I mean:
"there is a case of A who are X, but being X is not essential to being A".
? ? A : A ? X ? ¬ ? A : A ? X
