Stress Test
Today's Story on ADAPTING TO CHANGE: Too much CHANGE in our life can cause health problems; unless we have the skill and strength to deal with it. I have been close to a colleague who has been advised to stop smoking for health reasons. The advice that came back from the clinic was to change your daily routine as habit is a major obstacle that needs to be overcome. Rather than get up in a morning, go downstairs and make yourself a drink and have a cigarette, before you're prepared to have a wash and clean your teeth; is a ritual of routine. Nicotine patches and the varying remedies to inject nicotine into your body are helpful to wean you off the drug, but it is the habit that can be your downfall. The suggestion from the clinic is to move that favourite chair where you sat to have a cigarette, change your daily routine so that you get up in a morning and wash and clean your teeth before you go downstairs. Change your bad habits! I would hope that this instruction from the clinic is clear? But what does it also inform us? That habit can control our life without us knowing. If you had a problem you're going to react the same way you did the last time the situation arose; that is habit, not the lack of knowledge. Today's story is an illustration on how to change the way we perceive. We need to take note, because our habitual reaction to CHANGE can cause anguish and ill-health. I AM GOD Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help. If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. All situations will be resolved... but in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege. Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years. Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return. Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children. Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk. Should you notice a new grey hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine. Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity. Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them! Should you decide to send this to a friend; Thank you... you may have touched their life in ways you will never know! i7 950 (4ghz) overclock temps..sound okay?
I have an i7 950 overclocked to 4.00Ghz using a corsair h50 cpu cooler. After an hour of stress testing temps hit a max of 80C. taking onboard its winter and in summer it could raise to 90 or even more. Also taking into account a cpu is NEVER stressed out this much unless when your benchmarking / stress testing. does this sound okay?
No shit sherlock :) lol!

Inappropriate sinus tachycardia and supra ventricular tachycardia...?
ok, so a year ago I had lots of tests done on my heart because I discovered that my heart rate was quite fast most of the time. I had a stress test done and apparently was at the 98th percentile for my age group (for heart rate) My heart rate would shoot up to about 210bpm after a couple of minutes of mildly strenuous exercise (for instance jogging) I also faint sometimes- I completely pass out, and there doesn't seem to be a reason. My heart will just suddenly set off and there doesn't seem to be anything that I can do about it to stop it, the hospital pretty much discarded me when they couldn't figure it out. I've tried lying down, drinking ice cold water etc. but nothing seems to slow it down. I went back to my doctors a few weeks ago and he said that I needed to be looked at again. He said that it was either inappropriate sinus tachycardia or supra ventricular tachycardia. He said to try to find out what it was that was setting my heart off.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what common triggers might be, and how to slow my heart so that it doesn't get to the point where I collapse? and is there a difference on how IST and SVT are treated? (my doc said he wanted to put me on medication) I never seem to get a decent explanation from any professionals, so I wondered if there was anyone with either of these conditions that could give some suggestions. Sorry this is a pretty long question! Thanks so much!

Shortness of breathe, had slight chest pain????/?
\hi, i'm 30 year old female, have type 2 diabetes, yesterday most of the day i felt like i was a little short of breathe. I wasn't struggling to breathe or anything like that, just a little short. I also had a pain that came and went for about ten mins, it felt like it was heart pain, it was on my left boob area. I have had no pain today whatsoever, but have had a feeling again come and go that i was getting short of breathe again. I did have a check up with a heart specialist about 4 or 5 months ago, as i get palpitations, and i had a heart echo and stress test done. Both turned out to be perfectly normal, although i did have alot of etopic beats on the stress test but it was only when i was cooling down resting, none when excersising. Do you think this is a heart related problem i've been having? i haven't been feeling myself since christmas as i have been having gallbladder related pain and dizziness. But i know this thing that happened yesterday is not gallbladder related...

Nuclear Heart Stress Test Scan Results - Accepted/NICE Timeline?
Hi
I wonder, would anyone one know if there is a guidance on how long a Hospital (UK) can make you wait for a Heart Scan result,
I'm now getting pretty P'd off as I had the test done back at the beginning of December, have spoken with my GP who suggested I rang the Cardiology Secretary, I did first working day after Christmas & was told the results were on the desk & had to be written up & would be sent out soon.............I'm STILL waiting, having the Secretary several other times after this & get the same sort of "fob off " answer....
I'm not expecting the results to be bad, but i did have a bad reaction to the stress part of the test, where they had to call for back up, so that is naturally a bit of a worry, & I want to book a trip abroad on my own in the next few weeks, something as a Mum to a little one, I would obviously think twice about if anything did show on the scan.....it just seems like a ridiculously long time to wait, & I want to know my rights..if any... before I ring again
Thank You
Sorry but DOES N"T answer my question
I have my own Doctors who I will trust to advise on any treatment needed, Thank You
I just need to know ...
WHAT IS AN ACCEPTABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO WAIT FOR SCAN RESULTS .....ARE THERE ANY RULES ON IT ???.........& IF SO HOW LONG?????? as this seems a bit ridiculous.....waiting over 6 weeks now :-/
Weird.....the 2 answers I responded too above just disappeared.....Spam??
Thank you ACE, but it wasn't a question on the rights & wrongs of a socialised health care systems V Insurance lead, & no its not a consequence of our system, as the time scales you mention are what I am used to here too, in fact slightly quicker where there HAS been a real problem, I have reasons for needing to know quickly & getting fobbed of by the Cardio secretary
I AM however asking any people with knowledge of our UK system, what the NHS are allowed as the LONGEST return of test results, NICE (in the title) being the body that dictates this, in my experience this has been way too long, & I'm wanting to raise a complaint, but need to know for sure if they have broken their own rules,
Thanks anyway

Im looking at the effect of exams on university students level of stress, testing stress levels at baseline and in the first week of exams. What scale of measurment must be used and how does this influence my choice of statistical test? Do I use random sampling or ad hoc sampling to select 20 students from the class?
